8–18 years

With light painting you experiment with light in the dark. When flashlights and light sticks are moved, they leave a trail of light behind them. This is how you can paint in the dark. With cameras and tripods you become photographers yourself. This way you can capture your light painting and an image is created from the movement of the light.

If you now move a light source back and forth, it looks as if a tracer is being created. Like a brush stroke. But this only works if the room is otherwise completely dark. You can paint and experiment with the different light sources. We will then print out your photo artwork for you and you can take it home with you.

6–18 years

In our printing workshop you can immerse yourself in the world of printing. In this workshop, participants design their own stamps and experiment with unusual materials to develop individual patterns and motifs. These are then printed on fabric bags, T-shirts or gym bags. Depending on the age group and experience, there is also the opportunity to gain initial insights into lino or screen printing. The focus is on creativity, experimentation and the joy of creating.

6–18 Jahre

Build, knead, shape invites children and young people to get creative and create three-dimensional art with their own hands. In this workshop, individual sculptures are created from self-drying modeling clay – from imaginative figures to abstract shapes. The basics of plastic work are taught in a playful way: building, kneading, shaping, trying out. There are no limits to your imagination. The finished works of art can then be taken home straight away.

10–18 years

Using props, makeup and creativity, you can create your own photo set. You can pose in front of the camera and bring your own set to life. The photos are printed out using a mini printer directly in the workroom and can then be taken with you.

4–9 years

Is there a treasure hidden in the art gallery? Come and look for him with your friends. In the first part of the workshop we move through the large halls of the art gallery. We discover many works of art and collect clues. In the second part of the workshop you can design your own little treasure chest in the workroom.

12–18 Jahre

Do you like drawing with charcoal, graphite, watercolor, fineliner, etc.? Invite your friends to the Kunsthalle and get creative together in our exhibition and workshop. If you wish, you can also get an insight into the current exhibition at the Kunsthalle Mainz.
