Kunsthalle Mainz wants to provide an access to contemporary art for as many people as possible.

Therefore we offer inclusive public tours with object descriptions for the blind and visually impaired, with translation into German sign language and in Einfacher Sprache (easy language).

People with disabilities can take part in all public tours, events, courses and workshops. Seating is available during the tours. Step-free access to all works of art is given.

Workshop for Children and young people with visual impairments

Art is created through the smell of paint, wood or other materials, through the haptics of "feeling" surfaces and textures, through the sound of position, size and mass in space, the sound of the work of art, perhaps also by looking at it. We invite you to experience the artworks and explore materials together.
